Winter Skincare Routine | Testing Clarins Skincare for Smooth and Hydrated Skin

With the lowering temperatures and the increasing stress of assignment deadlines, my skin has been both drying out and breaking out making for a pretty lousy skincare week. I picked up the Clarins Toning lotion with Iris and the HydraQuench Lotion in Debenhams on the recommendation of a uni friend and it’s worked wonders to assist my dry skin.

The Toning Lotion with Iris is for combination or oily skin and when using only the smallest amount needs to be used to fully feel the benefits. My face always feel so clean after use, and although it also feels quite dry and tight this normally passes once moisturiser has been used.

The HydraQuench Lotion with SPF 15 is perfect to combat winter dryness, the texture is light yet rich and only one pump from the dispenser is needed for my face. My dryness started to go after only a day of use, and I’ve continued to use it since with no problems (except stress related eczema).

Although I’m still breaking out, this is more to do with stress and so after assignments have finished and Christmas is here I’m sure it will clear up completely once again.
