Clinique Lipstick Review | Finish Your Outfit With a Bold Red Lip

With the summer finally upon us I took the opportunity to bring out the bright coloured lipsticks that have been neglected during the colder months. For the most part I don’t stray too far from my pale pink and nude lipsticks because of my skin tone. But during the evening I do like to make my look a bit bolder!

First Thoughts

Bright reds aren’t a colour I would usually go for because I’m so pale and I often struggle finding a red that doesn’t make me look even paler. So when I first got this as a sample I was worried that I would never be able to wear it.

After Use

After putting it on I was still very hesitant as it’s so much bolder than what I usually wear. But after asking friends and receiving a few compliments I settled down about whether the colour was too bright or not.

It passes the coffee test and is extremely long lasting. I drank a whole cup of coffee and even though a large amount was now on the cup, my lips still had a good coverage and colour.

The formula is not just long-lasting but it doesn’t dry out your lips at all. My lips still felt soft after removing the lipstick, although my lips did seem a bit stained with the colour. But by the next day it was fully removed.

Would I Purchase Again?

Yes but maybe in a different more neutral colour. I really enjoyed the formula of this lipstick, although with the colour I don’t think I would go out and buy it again. I have looked online, and some of the colours look better suited for me for an everyday wear kind of lipstick.
