Honey Honey, Don’t Conceal It | Garnier Ultimate Blends Honey Strengthening Hair Mask | Show Off Your Luscious Locks

Apart from my avid love of Mamma Mia, I also love my hair. And because I love my hair, I’m constantly trying different products to try and keep my hair as long and healthy as possible. So when my hair started to break off because of the cold weather and constant friction with my scarf and coat I needed a savior. In comes Garnier with their Ultimate Blends Honey Strengthening Hair Mask.

Main Ingredients and Their Benefits

Cetearyl Alcohol is used as an emollient and helps soften your hair and skin. It is an extremely gentle product and as it is a fatty alcohol it conditions as well.

Behentrimonium Chloride is a conditioning agent which helps detangle, fight static, softens and helps strengthen hair. As it is plant-based is penetrates the hair shaft rather than coating it.

Glycerin is a conditioning alcohol that is water soluble. It works well as an effective moisturiser and humecant and is what creates the thick velvety texture to a product.

Propolis Extract has antibiotic and antiseptic properties. It is also considered to help reduce hair loss due to it’s anti-inflammatory properties.

Citric Acid contains high levels of Vitamin, Folic Acid and Vitamin B, as well as minerals like magnesium, calcium and phosphorus. It helps to stimulate hair growth and helps keep hair follicles healthy. It can also improve scalp conditions such as itchy scalp and dandruff by absorbing excess sebum.

Royal Jelly provides your hair with proper hydration due to opening blocked follicles which allows the hair to absorb the nutrients that are contained within royal jelly. Scalp and hair can be rejuvenated due to reducing damaged tissues.

How to Use

After washing squeeze any excess water from hair. Apply generously from mid length to roots. Leave in from 1 to 5 minutes depending on how much care your hair needs. Rinse out. You do not need to use conditioner as well as this mask.

First Thoughts

As I only have access to a shower, I really dislike tubs as water always seems to get into them. Luckily this year I have a shelf which keeps my products out of the way, so no problems with trying to get the lid back on without getting loads of water in there. As I have really fine and thin hair, I did originally worry that this mask would feel heavy and weigh my hair down.

During Use

It smells really nice as it’s honey based but not too overbearing while using. A little went a long way, as I have really long hair but I didn’t seem to be using a massive amount of product to cover it. It’s also really easy to apply as the product isn’t too thick.

While still in the shower my hair immediately felt a lot sleeker and it seemed to help reduce tangles for when my hair dried.

After Use

My hair didn’t feel heavy at all and the mask didn’t leave any residue that could be seen or felt. My hair felt extremely soft, shiny and smooth and any tangles seemed to just pull away from one another after use.

Would I Purchase Again?

For the price, it’s a great purchase for how long it lasts. I’ve been using this one and another in Garnier’s range since January and neither of them look anywhere near empty. It works so well to keep my hair look healthy and also ensuring my hair doesn’t look dull as it usually does in winter.
