I’d heard many great things about how Lush Dream Cream helps with eczema, so just had to pick it up to try. I get eczema whenever I have milk products and also if I get overly stressed (so obviously quite a lot of the time because of my lack of self control for chocolate…). This means that when I get a particularly bad patch, I need some good products that help moisturise and alleviate the problem.

First Thoughts
With ingredients including oat milk, rose water and chamomile I was fully expecting this to be moisturising and soothing too.
The smell of the product can be quite overbearing sometimes. Plus with something so strong, I was worried it wasn’t going to work on irritated skin which Is why I’d purchased it.
During Use
Whilst it does have a strong fragrance – it didn’t seem to irritate on application which was good. I found that it immediately felt smooth and cooling when put onto your skin. This meant that I was thinking it was soothing the skin before I even knew if the cream was working to moisturise it.
I enjoy using it post shaving for my legs as it does seem to help reduce shaving rash. If like me you have sensitve skin when shaving then it’s an additional bonus when using.
After Use
Whilst good for alleviating some symptoms of eczema, it doesn’t ‘cure’ it as I’ve heard some people say. Dry patches are moisturised, and it helps calm skin a little bit due to the calming properties of the ingredients. However, it couldn’t completely clear the eczema itself – it just became less irritated patches. To fully remove the patch I used my steroid cream – which meant this cream is an amazing aid to help steroid cream remove the eczema.
An issue I had was that it takes time to absorb, and can become itchy in creases when not absorbed properly. This means it’s firmly part of my night ritual. It’s benefits outweigh this issue for this case – however, it would be better if I could use in the morning if needed.
Would I Re-Purchase?
Yes
