She’s a Natural | An Everyday Makeup Routine Perfect for A Natural Look

Although I love make up, my every day routine is extremely simple. For everyday I prefer wearing a natural  look, which is quick and easy to pull off every morning. (Often when I’m rushing to get out the front door so I’m not late).

First stop is always my skin. Even after my skincare routine I don’t have the best skin. I struggle with break outs and oiliness, redness and I also have eczema so sometimes it’s insanely dry.

I start off with Clinique’s Beyond Perfecting Foundation and Concealer because of my skin issues. This foundation is full coverage, but doesn’t feel too heavy on my skin. It also doesn’t irritate my skin, or any of the problems it has such as my eczema.  Then I use Benefit’s Hello Flawless Powder to reduce any oiliness.

After foundation and powder, I give myself some colour again with Clinique’s Blushing Blush or Benefit’s Coralista blush.

I usually go for a coral tone that can be built up as needed rather than bright and strongly pigmented powders. This is because I’m really pale, and sometimes stronger colours look too harsh for me .

Next up is my eyes. I start with my eyebrows which I fill in with Benefit’s Goof Proof brow pencil. This is usually just a quick scrawl over my brows as I don’t draw them on or anything like that. I usually just neaten them up and hope for the best.

I then use some mascara and use my handy Chanel Liquid Liner to create a flick. I love using the felt pen style liners as I find them a lot easier to use (especially when I woke up 10 minutes ago).

Sometimes I will also use eyeshadow, although a lot of the time this is a step I miss if I’m in a rush. My go to palette is Naked2 Basics because it’s got a great selection of natural colours. Stark, Frisk and Cover are the main three shades that I use, and then I can add the darker tones if I’m doing something in the evening.

Then I just use a lipbalm like Carmex and I’m ready to go. Do you have a go to everyday routine for make up?
